I am working on a Nortel BCN 73000 and i am unable to login. I am looking for a way to reset it back to factory default. I also need to know the default login. Thanks

The password is stored on the FRE/FRE2/ARE modules. I believe there use to be a "no password" program that you could put on the PCMCIA flash card (btw, it's not a standard ATA PCMCIA flash card) and then boot the router from that flash card to erase the password.

If you have a spare FRE/FRE2/ARE module you can use that to reset the password on the other FRE/FRE2/ARE modules.

Cheers!
