I am trying to connect a 1230 IP phone to a BCM 50 system but am missing something. I have manually configured the phone with a static IP address and set the S1 to the BCM 50 system using port 7000. I left the prov as 0.0.0.0. The phone boots up and says it is trying to connect to the server but never does. I am able to successfully register others ip phones (1140E and 1120E) whit the same parameters. Is there a setting on the BCM server that I must make or something else I need to set on the phone so the handshake and initialization can occur?

Thanks a lot!
Regards

Is the software version of your BCM Rls 3?
Dont think it works on earlier versions.

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

I have had a lot of problems trying to get these phones to work first time.

Some systems they register right away others i have had to leave for a few hours then they registered!!!!!

How i dont know.

Leave them on then come back later.
they only work on bcm50 rel3 and bcm450

Check the port in the BCM .I don't believe it's 7000.
I wish I had one infront of me .

Also try changing DHCP to parcial.

It's only dialtone-VZ

7000 is corect unless connecting to a srg which would be 7300.
