I recently performed what I thought was a Level 1 reset on my BCM50 to reset the system to defaults whilst keeping keycodes, as I was unable to log in to Element Manager for configuration due to not having the password.

However to my horror, upon restarting the system my digital extensions now show "Keycode reqd" in the display when you lift the handset. So it appears I somehow managed to perform a Level 2 reset instead.

I do not have any of the original keycode information, but I can log into Element Manager to view all of the system information.

Hoping that someone is able to help me with this dilemma! Thanks in advance,

Ravi

Ok
First do the licences show up in the key codes.

If so then do another reboot.

If there is no key codes the either upload them back in or apply a backup to restore the programming

Hi Snowman50, thanks for your reply. I have restarted the system many times. It doesn't show any licences. I didn't have any backup also. Please help me to get the license codes. Also I have attached the system serial number to this thread
Thanks

you need to get Avaya to send you the .lic file in case you have no backup.

Your BCM 50 is at release 3.0

Associated System Id : NNTMHD00GH73
Current Version Number : 3.0
Current Configured Feature(s):
Int Digital Sets : 12 units
Int Analog Trunk : 4 units
IP Client seat : 2 units
VoIP GW Trunk : 2 units
IP Client Try-Buy : 16 units
VM seat : 4 units
VoIP GW Try-Buy : 2 units
LAN CTE Try-Buy : 32 units

If you have trouble getting the keycodes, then it might still be possible for me to get them for you.

Firebird,

I am in the same boat as Ravi was, and have no way of retrieving the license keys previously assigned to the system.

Is there still a way to retrieve them from Avaya?

Many thanks

You need to find an Authorized Nortel/Avaya dealer....they can retrieve them from Avaya.
You can also try other vendors who have a partnership with an authorized dealer.

Avaya will not assist you directly.
