First let me introduce myself and my company. Teledynamic has been an authorized Nortel dealer since 1987 in the San Francico Bay Area.

We are now concentrating more on the 3Com NBX (a far superior product) in my opinion. As such as we are not joining the Nortel Advantage program. This means that Nortel wants $300 every time we call for tech support - ABSURD!

On rarely do we need help as we've been Nortel dealers for so long. HOwever, on occasion we need some technical assistance. Any good BCM engineer would be capable of providing this support.

So, if you have the requisite skills, please contact me and we discuss how we might create a relationship where we'll pay for services.

thanks,

Randy

Randy,

I have heard about the $300 charge from Nortel, as everyone has been notified of this. I read your note and thought you may be the same Randy I have spoken to in the past at my previous employment (FNS in upstate NY). I am a Nortel certified design specialist and engineering specialist for Norstar and BCM products. The best advise I can provide to you is that you stay with this forum and get the assistance you need through this manner. Otherwise, see if you can team up with a company that uses you as a Sub-k and use them for your tech support.

Thank you.
