I've been made the phone guy this week and am having some issues with the ASM8+ Module in our Nortel BCM. The top light is blinking red to orange to red .... what's going on? Is the unit garbage and need to be replaced? I've tried rebooting the system but that didn't help. Thank you for any advice.

Sounds like the dip switches aren't configured properly and/or there is a DS-30 bus conflict with an existing module.

Check the BCM documents and make sure that you have the dip switches set correctly, and also make sure that what you are setting them for doesn't conflict with anything else that is already in the system.

Thank you for your suggestions, however, it was a bad ASM8+ module. Pulled it out and replaced it and the system came back to life.
