Nortel BCM 400 3.7 Change Features Callpilot

Hi There !

I wonder if there is a way to change the features codes of Callpilot on the Norstar BCM 400 Ver 3.7, Example F985 to F912 or what ever. Because it seem too easy to clear the admin password by that way now all info is free on internet...

I'm looking to make it abit more secure.

I wouldn't be so paranoid all of a sudden since you have had the system for years and the manual has always been public.
I would presume you have daily or weekly backups.

Options to look at that might work
-Try Set Lock (start with Partial) and see if that works
-Turn off Telset Programming under Supervisor details
-Check Alarms to find culprit who went into Callpilot admin.
-Note only Reception/Executive sets M7310/M734 and T7316/T7316e can be used to program.....basic User sets (M/T 7208) and Driver/Hallway/Courtesy sets will be denied access.
-Upgrade/Update system.....3.7 has not been supported for years, companies need to treat their phone system better than their network.

I have not seen a Release 3.6 or 3.7 in a long time (so few exist) so I do forget what can be done or not but somebody might add to this.
In later versions you need the nnadmin password to get into F983, F985 no longer has these options which are moved to F982 (also password protected).
