Nortel BCM 3.7 / Call Pilot

General question.... we are convering all sites to BCM 3.7/Call Pilot. With the new system, if the Recept comes in First Day of Service and tries to Voicemail Transfer to a mailbox that has not been initialized, will it still accept the message? Or, will it not recognize the mailbox until it is initialized?
