Hi all
I need your expertise in explaining this setup. My company has remote offices and we use satekite link for 2 phones in eash remote office.
The setup is like this . Option 81c connected to another option 61c via oc3 across town. At the option 61c we have newbridge 3624 with a t1 connectivity to our satellite vendor. We are going to retire the option 61c and move the newbridge to the HQ where is the option 81c.
I am new to this and I don’t know how the newbrige function in relation to the Nortel switch. Is it the newbridge function is to take 2 anolog ports and multiplexing them and send them on the t1 to our satellite vendor ?. am I close on this.any explanation or tutorial will help me a great deal.
The second question is :if we decided to get rid of the newbridge is there any other good solution.
thanks for you help. and sorry for the long post

The newbridge is a solution for multiplexing different types of circuits accross a common circuit. Could be a T1 between the two sites and loop, ground, wnk, data with different bandwiths. There will be a physical connection between the points that you will need to identify and then you can look at your options.
