We have just gotten a new local prefix of 760. When we try to dial it we get a fast busy. I have checked all the restrictions and can not find any for 760. Is there any other please that the local prefix needs to be setup?

I ran into this before, What I found is that there is no place in programming that covers this. Contact you CO provider and see if they have the new prefix in there system.

Dtone,

I have been working with the CO provider, they have taken the switch out of the loop and it works fine, when you try to call from a phone on the system you get the same problem.

the usual question, what version software, etc.

look at the lines and see what restriction filter you have in effect for the lines.

look at the telephone DN's and see what restrictions you have in effect fot the phones.

Look at the appropriate (what you found for lines and sets) restriction filters and see if 7, 76, 760 are restricted.

Have you taken a telephone set yourself and tried dialing to the 760 office code from the demark, not take the Local CO's word for it?

Yes I have tried a phone at the demark and it works fine.

what were the restrictions in effect for lines and sets?

jerryreeve,

no restriction son lines or sets.

There should be restriction filters set for both, it may be restriction 00 but that in itself is a change from default. the default filters for sets is filter 02 and for lines is filter 03.

when you dial out, are you dialing a 9 for outside access?

If you put the call on hold when you get the fast busy and take it off hold (this forces the display to show the outside line connected and not the number dialed) what line are you showing you are accessing?

exactly what digits are you dialing, from intercom or line appearance?

are you using routes and tables?

look under programming-> maintenance->system version: for your software version.

I may have to go do some service type work but I am sure someone can take over on this.

Is there not a default restriction in Filter 1 for '976' and all of its iterations?
Edit Filter 1 to remove all mention of the 976 restriction and try calling out

Do you use line pools? is this 10-digit dialing? What s your park prefix?
