Nortel 8600 IST Trunk limitations

Hi,

Hi i am implementing the Core 10 Gig CWDM Network using 3 nos of Nortel 8610 Switch. Can I create multiple IST Trunks on single switch considering the requirment that my CDWM rings(04 nos) are scaterted all over the Core switches.

My objective is to build Core with 03 nos of 8610 running IST Trunks between them... can this be possible!

on a single switch, there can only be 1 IST trunk.

As mentioned before you'll have to create an IST link between two of the three 8600s and attach the third 8600 to the pair with an SMLT link. This is a fairly standard setup, look for a document called the 'Converged Campus Technical Solution Guide' on Nortel's web site - its got all kinds of examples.
