Nortel 8600 Console password 1

Is there any way to get into a 8600 through the console if the username/password you thought would work doesn't? I can't reset the 8600 to default. I can use ESM and Device Manager, but that doesn't help me much. Thank you.

You can default the passwords and SNMP strings without defaulting the rest of the config, its a boot-monitor command that can be entered as the CPU is booting.

If your running some really old version of code the passwords used to be stored in clear text in the config files.

Thank you. But I found it in Device Manager. It was as easy as "edit-security" and then click on CLI and put in the rwa login/password and apply.
