Hi all,
i have a weird situation, i start a sniff process in my lan and i can see the comuinication between the 2 server in my lan (unicast traffic ) not the broadcast only, it seems that the 8300 act as a hub!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
why is that happen ? is there any thing enabled should disable it (like a port forwarding option)?
i check that with a cisco guys and told me that should not happen.
my sniff PC and the server are in the same vlan and i face this especially with ISA servers.

best regards.

Hi,

Witch version?
The ISA servers are used with teaming or nlb?
Could you show a trace sample?

hi,

not only the ISA server but also other servers, which i guess is some thing in 8300, am asking if it is possible that i mistakenly enabled a forwarding feature cause this?.

Hi,

Did you have the version 4.0.0.0. If yes upgrade to the 4.0.2.0.
Can you show a sniff sample?

Are you using port mirroring? If you just want to see broadcast traffic on a vlan you just need to add the port to the vlan. port mirror copies all traffic from the server port to the sniffer port.

i think there is something of the servers, they are operating in a Microsoft NLB cluster, i think that what cause the problem.
