You can reset the Nortel 425-24T/425-48T to factory defaults
by using the same STACKING method as the 450-24T.

The software and the HW versions on BOTH switches MUST
be the same for this procedure to work.

The "good" switch with the password cleared MUST be the BASE
unit. This is set using the push switch on the left side of
the faceplate. Push and release until the "Base" Led is on.

Put the password locked switch on top of the Base unit and
connect the two switches to each other using the stacking ports
on the back of the switches. Then power on the password locked
switch.

You need to be connected to the Base unit with a 9-Pin Straight
Thru console cable. 9600,8,n,1

When you press Ctrl Y on the Base unit you will see a menu.
Select the option for "Reset to Factory Defaults". You will
be given the option of selecting the Entire Stack or just the
switch your are connected to. Select "Entire Stack" and press
Enter.

When the formerly password locked switch reboots, it will no
longer have a password on it.
