Nortel 2033 PoE Module

Hi all

Quick question, I picked up a Nortel 2033 of fleabay however the unit doesn't power up when directly attached to our Nortel PoE switch. Is the phone bricked or does it require the PoE Module to regulate the voltage to the conference phone?

As far as I'm aware the 2033 requires 19v however cites PoE standards so would assume it would have worked without.

I had one that would not power up with PoE or with a brick. The proble ended up to be distance - the long cord that came with the phone put me pass the threshold. Just a thought.

Tried that thanks, however no joy.

Does it require the module to power the phone or can it be jack in directly to the poe switch?

For me it works best connected to a PoE port. It seems that you may have a bad unit.
