Nortel 1120e how to configure network manually

I have BCM400 4.0.2.03a and purchased refurb nortel 1120e ip phones.

How can I interrupt its boot process to manually configure the network parameters?

After booting when I press services twice I get a menu that includes network configuration but when I select it there are no options to change.

Do a factory reset to clean out any leftover configuration.

When you boot up and the word Avaya appears, press the 4 soft keys one at a time
You have 1.5 seconds to do this before it goes through the boot up.

Once you get into the network configuration, press the button below Auto on the screen, then press the button bellow ALLMAN on the screen. Use the RH scroll arrow to step thru the fields.
