nortel 1010 password recovery

can anyone help me pls? I changed the username and password my nortel 1010 contivity but later I could not log in it. It gives to me error msg like "login or password incorrect" , I want to keep my settings, how can I access my Nortel 1010? Is it possible?

Well, you could try the default user name and password. If that does not work, maybe you made a VPN user that has manage rights and you could log in with that, but if not then you will need to setup that Contivity for a replacement or a password reset with Nortel.

Nortel TS said to me :"I checked with a contivity engineer and he confirmed that it is not possible to reset the user name and password on this part and you needed another one which you can set up on your own instructions" , but I believe there is another way to log in, isn't there?

Well, some one did happen to come up with a way to recover the password using a floppy, but Nortel has made a patch for it and that does not work any longer. For now all I know is that it has to be sent in for a password reset.
