I just blew a hard drive. I replaced it with a clone. All came up fine. I started a restore. Restore compleated and now could not log in under admin. Tried all 6 combinations. Then tried to reset system password with feature 985.....9.... and 7373....... still cant log in.

What to do next?
Thanks in advance!

-Did you restore an older version that was maybe 2 digit DN's and you changed to 3 since?
i.e old login was 12XXXX and lately was 102XXX? or you were at 3 digits and went to 4.

I am curious as to Allworx questions too.

You need to post not only what system but what version software as well.
Norstar is a make from Nortel and has various models for both KSU and Voicemail

Voice Mails are:
Startalk (built in software)
Startalk Mini (built in software, non-upgradable)
Startalk Flash (PCMCIA software)
NAM - Norstar Applications Module (built in software)
Call Pilot 100 or 150 (PCMCIA software)

Post NT # if unsure

Sorry I do not know a whole lot about what I am doing. I have a NAM with I believe with rev 4? How can I confirm this. Seems to match the version 3 manual I have.

My guess is the floppy was bad. I think the backup was for the same revision of software.

Yes I tried what I found in the manual for the digits and DN things...Maybe 6 different codes?

Thanks!

Hint: I'll bet it's all defaulted. Follow the new installation instruction in the manual to find the initial startup password. 102xxx is not valid until the system in initialized.

Not sure if you needed to do a F 983 then config to get it started.

All,

It seems after doing the restore the system reverted back to a nonconfigured system. I just started at a re-install state and all is cool.

Sorry for the late responce.

Thanks All!!
