Norstar with Aiphone Marketcom Intercom for Paging

I have a client who wants a Norstar system installed in his grocery store but is insisting on using an Aiphone Intercom system in the store for paging. When priced out, the Norstar system alone with intercom and paging is much cheaper than having the Aiphone intercom. He is told by Aiphone that paging will be less expensive with the Aiphone product than the Norstar product using paging. Aiphone Marketcom were basically developed in the 1A2 days when old key systems didn't have I/C and paging equipment.

I think it's ridiculous to have both. Anyone else agree with me?

I saw a Lucky foods out west this past summer with Aiphones with a Cisco IP Phone next to each Cisco Phone throughout the store.....so dumb.
