I think they are talking about the Voicemail Interface Module. Which alows you to hookup third-party voicemails to the Norstar.

This is what I found on a previous post.

VMI programming:
enter feature 9*3
press show
it will display VMI # (901)&(902)
then enter feature 9xx(01or02)
press next dislpay shows DN #
press next (feature table)
send msg L*1
cncl msg L#1
transfer L*70
prefix =
disconnect=d
Now just program your system as per these codes.

You are correct executone. We don't use the Voice Mail interface around here. Never seen one. As a result I don't have any info on the product.
