Is there a way for administrators to obtain reports from Norstar VM? Looking for number of times mailboxes were accesed, unplayed messages, etc..
Thanks
Tom
For VM Manager you need the NAM to have a NIC card installed. You then need to attach to it with a crossover cable. It's IP should be 192.168.110.10, so your IP needs to be set in that range.
Then you launch VM Manager and enter the above IP and the password is your feature 983 login 102....
I would suggest to use the printer which is alot easier to get theinformation you need..Especially if you need a hard copy to show to managers in your office..
Tom,
You can use a serial cable to connect to the NAM and use the VManager.
Connecting Laptop to NAM 3.0 & 4.0
·Connect one end of Null Modem DB9 serial cable to com port on laptop, the other end to port B on NAM.
·On laptop add new modem (start>control panel>modems). Click ADD. Select “I will choose modem from list” option. Then click HAVE DISK. Browse to find nvm2ppp.inf driver. This can be found on CD-ROM that comes with NAM. Then highlight com port on pc, usually COM1 or COM2. Click NEXT, then FINISH.
·Add dial up connection (start>accessories>dial up networking). Click on MAKE NEW CONNECTION. Type in name, NAM serial connection. On select device tab, select direct serial connection. Click CONFIGURE. On the Connection tab make “Cancel call if not connected within :” to 0 sec. Click OK, NEXT. Type in 1 in the telephone # field. Click FINISH. Drag icon to desktop.
·Install Norstar Voicemail Manger on laptop.
·Double click on Dial up Connection icon. Username is namaccess. Password is log2nam.
·Start Norstar Voicemail Manager program. Use the f983 password as the password to log in. (1020000 or the like)
