Norstar - update showing for unused extension

This forum has been a big help to me in supporting our aging Norstar system over the years. So thanks for all the past help!

This morning, I switched our on hold from music to tones. Now, UPDATE is showing on the display, and it says DN 401 is updating. This is an unused extension; we haven't used any 400s as far as I know. When I try to dial the extension, it says "On another call."

Any way around this problem? It doesn't seem to be affecting anything but is annoying. Thanks!

When you make some programming changes it updates all the sets, the ones in use are sometimes updated when they release the call they are on, hence "On Another Call".
Maybe an ATA?
Check Maintenance to double check what type of device it is and what port, then trace it to a jack number.

Or maybe needs a reboot.
