I am looking for the following documents:

P0993206 Flash BRU Doc Eng
P0993209 Flash BRU Installation Doc Eng

If you know someplace on the web where I can download PDFs of
these, that would be great! Failing that, perhaps someone can help me find the printed versions...

Thanks in advance!

I thought the Backup Restore Utility was only available for the
Callpilot voicemails not the Flash

My recollection is a bit hazy on this so I readily admit I could be wrong, but I think the short lived Flash 3.x software had BRU capability and was accessed by a hidden menu, something like login and 22 to backup and 33 to restore. I remember something like it would backup CCR and greetings and boxes to the PCMIA card. Testing my memory, but I recall that this maybe came out very close the the mfg. discontinue date for the Flash family and so not a bunch of that software ended up in circulation.

I actually have a Flash V3.1 software card to play with and you are correct. 22 does a backup and 33 does a restore. The backup looks like it gets written to the software card as I just did a compare with the original program files and it is now different. I'll let you know if I find the docs.

Thank to all for the information.

I am surprised that CurlyCord could not figure out what Flash BRU is.
He must be a solid Meridian guy.

I am still looking for the actual documentation. If someone could scan it and post it to the web, I would be ever so grateful.

In fact I will convert it into a PDF if they do so. I have re-created some rare Norstar docs in Adobe Illustrator in the past, so if I can get my hands on a reasonable copy, I might be inspired to do the same with these, and post them as well...

I know what Flash is, I know what BRU is.....I just dont know what Flash BRU is lol.

Sounds like it was a test software (UN-official maybe?) with very minimal release.

Far as I know 2.1 is the last official release.

A cross between NAM, Flash which lead eventually to Callpilot as the next official release?.

CurlyCord,

The Flash BRU is the final release of the StarTalk Flash software (Version 3.0.1) that was released. I was released VERY late in the product's life cycle, and I have seen only 2 of these. It is simply a PCMCIA cartridge, and is not a separate piece of software, like that of the BRU for BCM. Thank you for your assistance. I sure hope someone finds the documentation.
