Depends on which particular unit you have (SMDR1,2, ....6)
Line cord goes to available station port and 9-pin serial goes to a serial-interface printer (or capture device, like a laptop or PC with hyperterm and a com port).
To Access the SMDR Main Menu, I found this on a post in another forum.
Press "Feature" 9 * 2
Display shows:
SMDR5 Admin
NEXT QUIT
Press NEXT
Display Shows:
Printer: 1200
NEXT CHANGE
Select a baud rate that matches your device.
Check for compatibility:

I'm trying to find documentation on what data the SMDR gives and the format of the SMDR serial output. I've got an application that I might need to use it but I'm not sure if I want to use it if I dont know what information it will give me.
