I have a 7316E on a Norstar system with something on the display that I cannot get rid of. Under the date/time it says UPDATE. What does that mean and how can I get rid of it? Thanks

That means someone was in configuration and made a change. Most of the time if you wait a couple minutes it will go away. Or you can unplug the phone and plug it back in.

If you press the soft button under the word UPDATE you can then see which extensions are waiting to be updated.

Thanks snowman50 - I did...does that just mean a change was made to that extension (the DN listed was different than the set I see it on). Will the word UPDATE go away on its own?

The system sees those extns as busy and is waiting to update them even though you were not working on them
Once the system has updated it will go away.
Sometimes i have waited 15 mins depending on how busy the system is or that particular extn .

Thank you both ...I just checked and it has gone away on its own.
