I'm trying to page from phone to Bogen Amplified horn. I've read all of the stuff on here and it should be simply, but I'm having no luck at all.

I have Norstar Plus Compact ICS NNTM040C4TKU 1998/09/018 NT7B58AA-93 REL 02C NA-CICS-DR1.0. With 2 boards...NNTM040C4L31 and NNTM040C5KH4.

Valcom V-2000A Integrated single zone page control unit.

Bogen AH-5A amplified horn. 4 wires coming from horn. Black & White for the -24 volt power and Red & Green for the Tip & Ring. I just can't figure out where to wire the Red & Green to get sound through horn.

When I push Feature 62 on phones, I can hear the click inside the Norstar, but I can't find where it sends signal to push blocks. I've tried all the different colored wires mentioned in the other post. Ex: orange/violet, black/slate...none send any sound out horns. My wires are not number the same as in other post, so I just track the colors down.

It was a system hooked to 3 buildings and using around 50 wires and trunks and stuff. I wanted to minimize to just the phones and paging the horns in 1 building. It worked before I took everything out. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, I am not a phone guy, just learning as I go. Thanks

First, I suggest you make sure you are picking the wiring pairs from the correct amphenol connector. You want the wires coming from the connector that has the icon which looks like a utility pole. You may be trying to connect to the amp connector that is for the stations. Also be sure that both amps are fully seated, sometimes they can become partially disengaged and some of the contacts fail to mate.

I also suggest looking at your 66 block terminations, from what I can see in the images you uploaded, they do not look fully seated-- but it could be the camera angle. Did you use a 66-punch tool? If those leads are not properly seated, or if the block has been used too many times, the wire insulation is not pierced and thus no electrical connection.

Then check the wiring FAQ, for example, and revisit your color codes.

You may also want to test the page out port on the CICS with a butt set to be sure your cabinet is still good.

I wasn't sure which side I was supposed to connect to, so that will help a lot and also the correct color wire. Tomorrow I will defiantly check all of this out and see if I can get it to work. I will let you know. Thanks for the quick response guys, I really appreciate it.

After connecting to the correct wire colors and the correct amphenol connector, all is working great. Thanks again guys for the help.
