How can I extract the IP Address from my NAM 8?
When I perform a Direct Connect with Norstar Voicemail Manager 4.0.I was using the Default IP Address 192.168.110.11.I connected to the NAM, but it said user name or IP Adress incorrect.

the default address of the computer you are on should be within the same IP network mask as the NAM. If you have an IP for your PC of 192.100.100.10 with a mask of 255.255.255.0 you can only talk other units that have numbers that start with 192.168.100.

My suggestion is to change your PC address to 192.168.110.99 with a mask of 255.255.255.0

If you need to change the IP address of the NAM I believe you need to use NAM/IP lite. I don't have anything on a NAM 8 but you should have a cd with the system that should have the docs and software to change the IP.

you'll have to have IPlite installed on your PC
Have a floppy formatted (in win98 or below) with system files
Run the program
Set the floppy to "extract information" mode
reBoot your NAM with this floppy in
You'll hear sequence of beeps
Turnoff NAM
Take the floppy back to the PC with IP lite, and you'll see the IP address of the NIC on the NAM
