Norstar MICS to Remote Octel Possible?

Can our remote Norstars (soon to be setup with PRI) network to our Meridian 1's with Octel 350's, so that our Norstar users can have Voice Mail Indication working? Has anyone done this? Been told Norstar is too closed to do this, told we should upgrade to BCM etc. What are the real benefits of the Norstar VoIP upgrades? Any and all info appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i dont know abt Octel ...but this can be done with a meridian mail/ meridian1 <--> PRI <-->Norstar (5or6 version)

norstar needs adv pvt networking keycode besides PRI
MMAil needs Network messaging
