Is it possible to connect a BCM 50 lcated in a remote office to a Norstar MICS w/6.1 using bandwidth on a point to point T-1 between the 2 locations?
Thanks
Tom

If you put a VOIP gateway on the MICS, and you have IP trunk keycodes on the BCM 50, you can then network then via IP trunks.

would they be able to do station to station dialing, use the home office VM, etc.. ?
Thanks
Tom

Station to station - yes

Centralized VM - no.

The MICS VOIP gateway uses analog trunks, not a whole lot of intelligence there. To use centralized mail, you'd need to connect the two via PRI, and have MCDN keycodes in both systems (and a PRI enabler keycode in the MICS).

We just hooked up a BCM50 to an existing MICS two weeks ago. Make sure that you have a combo fiber card in the MICS to receive the DTMF tones that the gateway is going to be sending to the MICS.
