I have a Norstar MICS client that I bumped up to Wombo and our original block of DIDs 4100 - 4199, is used up. I just started trying to use the 8100 - 8199 block but it would not accept the "8" as the first digit in number rcvd. We are set up for 4 digits and ATT is sending 4 digits over PRI. Any one still running this set-up know what I'm missing?
Thanks in advance for any info...
Eric

If a digit is not accepted in your input, then it means it is being used elsewhere. As is a destination code.

Thanks Marv. Is it possible that 8 they use to call out is the conflict? It allows 9 and 0 as a first digit so I may just have ATT send 7 digits since the prefix of my numbers start with 9.

That would be your conflict. Change the PRI pool code to 9 and you should be good.

Ugggh. Replaced the 8 and still no go. I cannot find the conflict. Originally the 9 was the park prefix and that is why 8 was used (I think) so when I changed park to none external code went to 9 and pool A changed to 9 and recvd still would not take 8? I will scour the past posts a little more but I think I may need to order 7 digits from the provider and then re-imput all DID info.

Places to look with Defaults being in Bold:

-Line Pool Codes (sometimes Pool A = 9)
-External Code (9)
-Destination Codes (None)
-Park Codes (1)
-Voip Routing SIP/H323 (None)
-Target Lines (Received Digits) (None)
-Hunt Groups (Check their DN numbers) (7XX depending)

Sometimes just dialing 8 or 8X or 8XX and so on can give you a hint as to what 8 is used for.
Or even asking the client if 8 is used for anything that they know of.

Could also be a B2 extension. I remember when our company added a T1 circuit for long distance dialing the owner wanted me to program our MICS so that all dialing would be done via the intercom buttons with no pool codes required. Long distance was easy as I pointed all calls starting with 1 at the pool with the T1 channels. The Atlanta metro area had 3 area codes at the time (404, 678 and 770) and I discovered I had to renumber 404 (B2 DN) in order to use it as a destination code so I could point it at the pool with the local lines.

Heading out to site-test outbound results but I'm exploring my "Services/Routing Svcs/ Rte000= dial out None, Use Pool "A", Rte001= Dial out "9", Use PRI A.
Will get to the bottom of this today and post. BTW, Version is 30CPE06 NAT. Thanks for input, SB...

I dont know that it would effect anything but do wonder what the purpose of it is.

I needed to go to: Services/Dest Codes/ and change 8 to "Avail". Then since we only have a single route (PRI-A) go to Routing Svcs/RTE 001 and make sure it was none or 9.
Thanks for the suggestions. You definitely opened additional areas. Using NRU 10 has been tedious. Can't help but think using a browser would have been better.

Eric

Thanks for update
In NRU the 3rd icon over is to use Browser
