Norstar Mics 6.0 System-Wide Call Appearance (SWCA)

I have just installed a 6.0 system with swca keys 1-6 on ten m7310 sets, using these primarily to hold incoming calls at these sets until someone is able to handle the call. Several times in the past week three or four of these keys lock up and cannot be released. They show "busy on another call" but all channels on the Pri are idle or have another conversation on them. Can't do anything to release these locked keys.

Out of curiosity, have you set the system for manual or automatic association?
Are the effected telephones old ones or quite new? Can you reset the buttons by initializing the phone? This may be an issue of refresh from the KSU.

Under Feature settings I have SWCA Cntrl set to Auto Associate [/b]N and Invoke by Hold [/b]N. They press an available SWCA Key to place the call in park-mode and manually press the SWCA Key to pick up a call. The sets are rather old. I have not tried to initialize the set. Are you referring to disable in maintenance? Once again thanks for any help!

I am refering to either disable in maint or unplugging and replugging. I have seen similar issues of display lockup where a new funtion isn't released by an older phone. It is, from the best of my figuring, a refresh loss from the KSU. Try reinitializing the phone first. Then if/when problem reoccurs, prove with a new test M7319 or T7316.
Changing phones around inside the business may do the trick as well.??
