When our voice mail system was set up, we were not provided with any documentation of the administrative features. I found the codes listed on this site and that is a start, but are there any instructions on how to use them? The company that set us up is less than cooperative and we have had to find other companies using the same system to get questions answered, like, how to reset a voice mailbox password, etc....

The current concern we have is that there was a general or default mailbox set up, (which we did not really want since we have no one person in the office regularly to monitor it) but we do not have any way to access it if someone does leave a message there. I am sure it is simple, but it is not obvious to me. I would either like to be able to access this box or be able to turn it off. As well as the operator function since this serves no purpose in our organization which is very small.

Can anyone help? Is there a manual available?

If you are using the gen deliv then it is probably assigned to an extension (most likely the receptionists phone.)
To access any mailbox such as the gen deliv from another phone that it is not assigned to do the following:
access your own mailbox, but when it asks for the password, press *.
Then enter in the mailbox number followed by the password.
You are now in the box.

My advice to you is to find another vendor who will be able to train you to do such operations, and disable the gen deliv if that is what you want.
