I just installed the Norstar Manager V3.5 and it is asking me for a signin and password. Would anyone know what the default admin name and password is? This is the first time setup out of the box.

Thanks,
Harold

You'll have to choose a server or NAM IP address: 192.168.110.10 and the default password is whatever your admin password is for the NAM IE., 1020000
Hope this helps

Not to sound silly about this, but I guess this means that I need to install some sort of ethernet and network card in the NAM. If this is so, are there any instructions as to how to do so, particularly with respect to the card and its settings under OS/2???. Is there a setup guide posted anywhere on this? I am very familiar with TCP/IP and its related settings but have never installed a network card in a NAM.

Some NAMS come with NIC cards. Open the front and look at the LEDs down towards the bottom. Are the green or red or do you not have any at all.
Yes, there are guides that will help you out and I have them.... Let's see whether it is needed or not first though.

Mroberts,

There are NO network cards in either of my 2 NAMS. Both are fiber but they are not new models with NICS in them. I am running v4.0 software. If you have any doc on this, I would be forever in your debt.

BTW: Being in the computer business for 29 years now, I have plenty of ethernet network cards ISA, PCI, 3com, DEC, 10, 10/100, etc. in stock.

Thanks,
Harold

To enter Norstar Manager:
UserID: use your name
password: password or adminpassword (both work)

Thanks mroberts and DueE. I started a new post on adding a network card in the NAM.

Grateful for your help,
Harold

DueE is absolutely right. I am losing my mind. I am giving you instructions on the Norstar VOICE MAIL manager, completely different thing than Norstar manager.

I am sorry.
