Hi there - we have about 13 different phone numbers/lines at our company and we recently got rid of one of these numbers. On my phone (the main admin set), I have 'line buttons' ranging from Line 1 to Line 8. The line which was removed, used to be programmed as 'Line 8', which now when I press, I don't hear a dial tone or anything, as the line does not exist anymore.

My question is, is there a way to program another phone number/line to this empty line button?

Thanks in advance!

1. Do you have a vendor?
2. Are you wanting to add another line that has dial tone or a button for autodialing a certain number?

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have a vendor, but they want to charge me a service visit just to explain how to do it. And I am looking to add a line which has a dial tone (one I can dial out from).

Thank you.

yes you can . Try F*1---external auto dial
F*2----prog an intl no.
or F*3 ---prog one of the features you find useful

Sorry kacomi07 - I don't understand. When I try Feature*1, it asks me to press a button. When I select the 'Line' button I want, it just picks up the line (which has no dial tone)....

can u try F*2 ?. (Press a key , enter xtn no. ) See if you can prog an intl extn no.

It looks as thought it'll only allow me to use the feature codes on a key which is programmable (speed-dial, programmed internal extension keys, etc). When I try all of the feature codes and press by empty line button, it just picks up the line.

sorry , you will first need to set the line to unassigned.
Can u go into the prog . mode ?
ring me on 07588 608 955 & \i will talk u thro, it

This takes getting into the programming and unassigning the line from the phone. Then you can set it up using the codes.
Vendors would help themselves if they had remote access to their customers and then charged them a remote price.

ahollywood, I would have your vendor train you on the basics of programming. After that you can do it yourself. We train our customers when they desire and then answer their questions as they program for themselves. Yes it will cost to get trained unless someone else gives you a phone number on this forum and never charges you, which I cannot understand. Ask kacomi07, he/she may train you for free.
