Norstar M7310 Handsfree

Hello,

I have tried to get the Handsfree to work on our other telephones it currently only works on one of our phones and even though I went and enabled the handsfree following these instructions:

Enable Handsfree (Speakerphone)

Press Feature **xxxxx
Log: (Password) xxxxx

System Displays Terminals & Sets
Press the SHOW.

System Displays Show Set:
Enter the Ext.

System Displays (Name) Ext#
Press SHOW.

System Displays Line Access
Press NEXT 1 time.

System Displays Capabilities
Press SHOW.

System Displays Fwd no answer
Press NEXT 3 Times

System Displays Handsfree: Auto
-should be on Auto, Press Change if not displayed.
Press NEXT 1 time.

System Displays HF Answerback: Y
-should be on Y (Yes), Press Change if not displayed.

Hit Release to end.


I can still not get it to work. What am I missing? When I hit the button I can hear the person talking but they can not hear me.

Oh and the currently enabled phone has been like that for years and I was not hear when it was done and no one here knows why it works.

Is the triangle beside the handsfree button flashing? If so, you've got it on "mute", you can press it again to turn mute off.

Or
Do a button inquiry Feature * 0 and press Handsfree and see if that's what it says on the display.
Also make sure the Handset is plugged into the Handset port and not the Headset port under the phone.
