Sorry if someone has already answered this question. If someone has can you please direct me to it.

I have a ICS 4.0 that my client wouuld like handsfree setup on. She currectly has a 7324 phone set, I have the handsfree enable on the phone but she would like to be-able to answer the main number without having to press the line button the main number has five line appr. The manual for the ICS states you need to setup the number as the prime line but it does not go into great details. Can anyone help me with this issue. Thank you again for your help..

You can answer incoming calls by pressing the handsfree button. System will pick up the first ringing line

All of your lines must be in a pool and the sets prime line should be set to that pool.

Take all of the lines put them in pool a
Give her set access to pool a
Prime line pool a

And you will be good to go.

Thank you Norstarguru for the insite to setting this up. I have a tech going back out to this site. I will walk him thru the procedure that you have outlined. Thank you everyone for your help.

Sorry I read your question wrong.

You are trying to ANSWER calls without pressing a line button. Any line that has been set to ring on the set will be answered simply by lifting the receiver or press Handsfree if using a headset.

Line pools are for OUTGOING calls. a line pool will not pick up a ringing call as it is blocked by privacy.
