Norstar hunt groups problem

I have a mics 5.0 with a nam 4.0.w/6 channels. I have built a cust svc.hunt group 02/ext 687 with 13 members to broadcast and overflow if busy or rings for 45 sec. to another hnt grp 03 ext 690 operator w/ 18 members.
Problem: when caller gets ccr greeting and presses 1 for cust svc. they trns to hnt grp 02 works everytime with 1 call at a time. When there are 2 calls at same time 1 goes to cust svc and the other goes directly to over flow without all members being busy or ringing for 45 sec. I then tried 3 simaltainous calls 1 goes to cust svc. 1 to over flow and 1 to gen delivery. So my question seems to be how can I get more than 1 call at same time to ring the cust svc. hnt grp 02. Thanks in advance for your help !
 
HG issue with rel 5

Hunt Group Overflow DN does not ring



In this scenario the Hunt Group DN is a transfer point from the Norstar Voice Mail Custom Call Routing menu. When a transfer is completed to the Hunt group and the hunt delay timer expires (i.e. no hunt group members answer the call) the overflow DN does not ring.

If the HG is dialed directly from intercom, it works correctly.



This has been addressed in MICS 5.0 WI 6.02

I always looked at it as Issue is with HG.I would go with that is just what they said they addressed and there were prob other issues with it that got corrected with upgrade.

in answer to your question curly. if I pump 2 calls at the same time 1 rings correctly 1 overflows without the perameters being met and if I pump 3 calls the 3rd goes to gen delivery. It seems either the nam will only transfer 1 at a time or the norstar. Luv2ski, Do you think this problem could be corrected with an upgrade ?
 
what is your rel...Is it maint rel of 5
Cant go to 6.1 unless upgrade nam first to 4.1 * rel 2 on ram cartridge..Pretty sure on this..
u would have to verify what rel Nam needs to be 4.1.? so u could go to 7.1

Honestly I've had more problems with release 5.0 then any other software. I'm not saying that a upgrade will resolve your problems for sure but like I said 5.0 has been a flaky level for me.

I have never heard of this issue, I dont think it's related to the known overflow issue but like luv say's the upgrade can fix other issues and yes 5.0 does not play well at times, specially with PRI.

Hey Guys thanks for the info. I am thinking if I upgrade the mics 5.0 to 7.1 I should probably go to callpilot 150. I don't even know if I can get a key code to upgrade the nam the cd drive and all the hoops to jump thru to do that. It may be cheaper just to go to call pilot 150. What do you think? After all that upgrade cost would the problem be corrected ?
 
Been awhile but i thought 4.0 to 4.1 was free and just a floopy???

Pretty much retired from telecom and now grow and sell perennials from April-November and Ski from Nov-April
 
Some 4.0's need a key code and some dont, I think if it was a 4.0 out of the box when purchased then no key code required.

A Floppy - provides key code
B Floppy provides boot files for CD ROM
CD provides software

Make sense to go to Call Pilot unless you need more than 300 mailboxes.

Upgrading to Callpilot 301 and MICS 7.1 (and re-program from scratch) should cure all your issues.
