I have a MICS 7.1 and a norstar gateway on one end, and the other end is a BCM with Voip trunks. I have it set call directly to the extension on the 50 end and that is working great. I know on the Norstar side, I need target lines for each set, but I am not sure what the best way to have the 4 copper trunks in the norstar gateway set up. How do I make them act as simply a B channel of a T-1.

Any info would help, Thanks

cant...only seen as analog trunk...use AA on far side and let them dial ext needed thru vm

What would they dial on the remote side calling to the norstar? Some kind of a programmed access code?

if its just ext then the ext # if you want to call out thru norstar you may need to set to auto answer and use routing plus set up remote access..not 100% sure on that though..may need to use answer with disa

Thanks, lugerlover

I will do some tweaking on it next week and let you know how it turns out. I just set the routing on the 50 to call out voip with dest code of 2A which is the extensions at the Norstar side. Then when it hits, the trunk card I'll set the AAX to answer. I have heard rumor (but never set it up), that with a CLID card you can call extensions direct.

Thanks again,

Not a CLID card, you need a services card for the MICS or CICS for station to station calling over the gateway
