I have been dealing with several customers experiencing the same issue. Norstar forwards incoming calls to various cell phones. If the cell phone is a T-Mobile the call will fail with all circuits are busy or call can’t be completed at this time. The lec says the norstar isn’t sending a ISDN_progress and therefore the lec's switch disconnects the call because it hasn’t completed in time. It only does this on norstars and to T-Mobile cell phones.

This is a NI2 PRI over VOIP, it plugs into a Cisco iad 2432.

I am checking this, is there a certain code it needs to be? I assume you mean service pack?

The SP (system processor) code will translate to a software version. This will provide a starting point for known issues.
I kinda remember this T-mobile issue, but my old memory needs a little more jogging!

He is one of my customers:

SP= 30CQG05 NAT
Software version is 6.1

Jerry,
I did find your posts pointing to looking at the OLI and everything was setup correctly.

Yesterday I was short of time and just wanted to let you know that there were some posts out there.

I haave a feeling that you are going to have to get the norstar tech support/help desk involved thru your vendor. I've only had to escelate one problem to tech support but they were able to ID and help me fix it in a few days. (mostly gathering call data and then analyzing it)

I am wondering if it isn't a firmware issue. We had another customer fix his issues on a VOIP/PRI circuit by upgrading the call pilot firmware to DSP A8. It wasn't the same issue as these 3 customers though.

I have talked with Nortel and they seem to keep pointing to the LEC. But the fact that I have 3 norstars with the same issue. And a customer with a meridian on the same service (VOIP/PRI) next door, no issues.

norstar had a couple of problems with PRI on 6.1 the problems I was aware of were involved with the PRI talking to DMS100 or DMS1000 Central office switches during setup. but if you are having problems with a DMS at the CO they might be related.

you might need to escelate the problem with nortel and the LEC both to get them to work together with you to fix the problem.
