Norstar DID Trunk Cards 2

Sorry to ask a probably obvious question, but is there any creative use for Norstar DID trunk cards, BESIDES serving DID lines?

With the advent of inexpensive T1 for voice, does anyone even order DID trunks for new installs anymore?

Smaller locations with just a handfull of lines, do not need to have a t-1/PRI, so yes, they are still used.

I think I already found this to be true in the past but would someone confirm:

DID cards will not work or fit in an 0x32 cabinet, they must be used in a trunk module -- Is that correct?

What is the minimum version of DR software that will support DID in an 8x24 with copper trunk module?

DID cards can only go in trunk modules.

As I remember you need DR5 on the 824.
