Just a quick one. Have a client with an old Norstar Compact Plus system. Not familiar with it myself but one of their handsets has stopped working. It's a T7316E, so easy enough to get a replacement. My question is: when the replacement phone is connected (to the same socket as the original handset) will it pick up the previous handsets settings from the ccu (speed dials, programmed buttons , etc) or will it need to be re-programmed manually?

No programming required.

Well that really depends on whether or not the "Set relocation" is off or on. If it is off then you'll be fine, if its on you'll have to reprogram

If the set has never been used on the system set relocation on or off makes no difference.

It depends. If it is a new phone set relo can be on or off, it will take over that extension, if it's a phone that's been on the system then set relo needs to be off.

Thanks for the replies. The replacement set has not been used on this system before, it was previously used on a BCM50. So from reading what has been said, it should be good to go?
