I am working with a client to integrate an Equitrac Cost Recovery System, it uses an SMDR6 to communicate with the phone system. We are capturing call information (ie ext., number dialed), however we need the system to prompt for an UNVERIFIED 16 digit code when placing long distance calls. The Norstar vendor was on-site today and did not think this was possible. It is a Norstar CICS with 4.0 software.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Could set up a class of service pswd but it wouldn't be 16 digits. I think it would 6 or 8.

That should appear as part of the dial out string, but I think the smdr is going to truncate at about 20 digits.

It is possible to do exactly what you are looking for using third party software. You want to have forced/verified (or unverified) account codes for billback.

Look at tools CTI Pack from RSI at It does exactly that and works with Equitrac
