THE KEYCODES YOU GET FROM NORTEL FOR THEW CP 150 WILL GIVE YOU CALL CENTER APPLICATIONS, BUT BE SURE THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT. IF YOU CHOOSE CALL CENTER THEN YOU'VE DONE AWAY WITH MAIL AND IF YOU CHOOSE MAIL YOU HAVE NO CALL CENTER
So you don't get any voicemail if you choose call center??? Sounds like I'd be better off with a NAM 8 w/ ACD. I thought it would be co-resident like on the NAM. Does anyone have any tech FAQ's on this brilliantly engineered money maker for Nortel?
1w,
You may find that the auto agent log off with minuette on a NAM is a real pain in the neck. Other than that, the CP call center is cheaper than all of the others as long as you don't need more than 10 active agents at one time.
The auto logout is a real pain and I would actually only need 4-5 agents. I looked at the cost and it looks great but I need the voicemail side as well. Would I have to put in 2 cabinets for this to have the ACD and the voicemail???
Not true about the one or the other. Install the CP150 as a voicemail and then add the Call Center keycode. This gives you voicemail and ACD. We have a few clients running it this way. Not the greatest ACD, but it works in small environments that the Minuet would have.
Downside is it 8 ports now and forever. The NAM can grow and long as Nortel still lets you buy channel keycodes.
