I have a norstar 8x24 dr5 system and in my kids rooms they have ATA's and just regular pushbutton phones,Long story short one of them has a caller id capable phone now is their any way i can get caller id on the ata?..or is that on the newer ata2?
ATA's do not pass caller ID. A DR5 system would require a M8 caller ID interface to even allow caller ID to be displayed on system phones. You could wire the cordless phone directly to an incoming line to get caller ID, assuming your provider is sending CLID info.
To avoid buying the m8's i got a line expansion unit and put caller id cards in those, thanks for the help now i can tell them no caller ID end of argument.
