I know there is an issue with B Channel Service Messages set to Yes on a 5ESS connected to a Norstar. Does anyone know if there is a setting in the Norstar to work with this. If the 5ESS is set to Yes it causes dropped calls. I know that setting the 5ESS to No fixes the problem but I want to find out if there are any options for this on the PBX side.

When you place an order for a PRI that will be connecting to a Modular ICS, you should specify on the order that B-Channel Service Messaging should be turned off in the central office. This is easier than trying to convince the local carrier to do so later and should save you from having to pay any additional charges.
