norstar 8x24 with norstar voice mail 3.0 Fax help

I am trying to install the 8x24 with the voice mail 3.0 and a fax machine. This place has 3 lines coming in first two are rollovers with line 3 being a fax line but also would like to use as a "back door" line to have the auto attendant answer and transfer to extensions without going thru the receptionist. I have a ata set up with the fax machine and it picks up line 3 when dialing out. But i cant seem to get it to answer the faxes?

How do you have line 3 configured for answering?
Is the AA answering the line?

Your best bet is to use an auto fax switch before connecting to the system. Once AA answers, the fax machine will never get the fax without someone manually dialing the ata extension.
