norstar 8x24 with callpilot 100 cant do voicemail transfer

hey guys,

just wondering if anyone has had this problem.....

have an 8x24DS and just put a call pilot voicemail in.....as our old flash just crapped out.... all seems to work good, but now i cant transfer a caller to a voicemail box by doing the following....

call comes in.... i press "voicemail transfer" button (F986) and press the auotdial button on a CAP we have. what its doing is putting the call on hold and calling the extension....not transfering the call to mailbox

if a call comes in and i press the voicemail transfer button and physically dial the extension number....it works

im just not able to do it with teh CAP autodial buttons????

i hope there is a easy fix???

Cannot use a speed dial button to transfer to mbx, you must use the ext number. Press button (f986) dial ext 221.

Silver is correct you can't use the autodial buttons with F986. It did not work either with the Flash either. Cap dials extensions F986 is Maiboxes.

It's supposed to work with DR5.1, and I get them to work on DR5 most of the time. I test all the CallPilots I get with a 308 DR5. It must depend on the vintage of the software whether it will work or not.

Reason auto dials will not work is because they are 2 different systems.

Auto dial calls the phone, it is not a mailbox nor does it have transfer capability.

Yeah it's a miracle that CP is even working on that 8x24 even if it had DR5.1. If you look at the matrix on a CP they should only work on 3x8 with DR5.1 and CICS, MICS with 4.1 and up. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it stops working one day of starts doing some odd things.
