Norstar 8x24 Freezing

Hi Guys,

I have customer with 8x24 DR5.1.
6 port copper exp. card
2 x 12x0 copper
1 x 0x16 copper

#1 - Itermitant problem with system freezing on incoming calls.

System has 2 x 12x0 making it total of 20 analogue lines.(Only using 1st 12x0)
System also has 1x 0x16 (3 phones in use)

Mostly happens when system put in to a Night Mode with reception x221 and Aux Ringer ringing, people trying to pick up with Feature 75 can't pick up intermitant

#2 - CAP module resets it self - have to reprogram all the buttons every time the system freezes

The problem started with reception x221 freezing and showing no free buttons on incoming calls. (Reception has all 20 lines appearing and ringing on M7324)

We replaced:
Core System including software
Ext. 221 main phone M7324 + CAP. (not SAP yet)

Any idea what it could be?
I'm slowly going crazy...

Next steps are to replace the 12X0, 0X16, cords to modules and its line cards and expansion module or you may have a phone on the system causiing this.
I would try the exp card first.

You might be better off telling them the truth and its realy time to upgrade and get a BCM or MICS.

As for the CAP mod resetting, I'd first look at the power connection feeding that set. Sometimes that's just as simple as a power supply not plugged into an outlet all the way.

I have it usually always ended up being the battery backup UPS
