Objective: Normalize data to facilitate graphing in Excel 2007

Currently experimenting with offset formula to normalize 12 months of data so that it can be readily graphed:

Current Format
Category---Metric---Product---Jan2010--Feb2010---March2010...
Tech-------Dollars--Widgets---1000-----2500------3000
Tech-------Svc------Widgets---22-------22--------2600
NonTech----Dollars--Widgets---1450-----1600------2800
NonTech----Svc------Widgets---45-------60--------28

Desired Format
Category---Metric---Product---Amount---Month
Tech-------Dollars--Widgets---1000-----Jan2010
Tech-------Dollars--Widgets---2500-----Feb2010
Tech-------Dollars--Widgets---3000-----March2010
.
.
.

So far, I have not been successful.

Is anyone aware of a method/formula that will accomplish objective?

Alternatively, if there is a method to graph without reformating, please advise...

Also, I would concatenate the Category---Metric---Product--- columns with a DELIMITER betweenm like a PIPE |.

Then, after the process, use Data > Text to columns to put those column data back.

Skip,

[glasses]Just traded in my old subtlety...
for a NUANCE![tongue]
