I have created an NFS Share now how can I have a windows server mount the volume? Do I need to use Samba?

NFS and Samba are two different approaches to the same problem a Samba share and an NFS share are not the same thing.

NFS is the native Unix file sharing protocol - ideal if you are sharing drives predominantly between Unix servers. You can get NFS clients for Windows but this involves a cost and installation on every PC wishing to use the service. Can also cause desktop support headaches if your Desktop team are unfamliar with NFS.

Samba allows Unix to share disks by emulating the Windows SMB protocol so the shared drives appear to Windows clients as another drive. There is a little more work on the UNIX server to implement Samba in terms of integrating it into your windows domain, but it is free and all support can be centralised on the Unix server.
