Logged into the web console for nupoint and when I go into the Web Console I see "Your OFFLINE configuration has changed. You must commit and activate the configuration to apply the changes to your system."

Thing is.. I havent changed anything. Is it safe to choose discard and exit?

I have never been comfortable with the way Nupoint does this..

Thanks

If you are confident you have not changed anything, go to your offline menu, copy active, then activate

If you are not confident, activate without copying and see what might change, if anything.

if everything breaks, go thru the cycle without copying again and activate again.

My best guess is that you went into the offline to view something and then backed out. If you do this, the system will always prompt to activate regardless of whether you changed anything or not.

Since the offline database is not in used, when can just discard the change if you don't want any change.

What I would LIKE to do is discard changes and Exit.. that is what I did.. the sky has not fallen yet.. :) thanks all.

You can discard changes and exit all you like but you will ALWAYS get a prompt to activate if you entered the offline programming

You cannot get rid of the prompt except by activating

Its a good way to do it. You have a running config and a alternate config. You can do anything you want in the alternate config and it won't do anything unless you activate it. If you are unsure of the alternate config discard and exit.

You can't duct tape stupid.
